This year's theme: "The Gut, and Why the Mediterranean is the Best Place to Love Yours." Two and a half thousand years after Hippocrates placed diet, digestion and the humours at the foundation of health, the science of the gut microbiome has arrived to confirm the intuition. The Mediterranean diet — Greek olive oil, wild greens, fermented dairy, pulses, herbs, shared meals — is, in microbiome terms, the world's most successful longevity laboratory.

Capital is following the science. In 2026, the 140-year-old Swiss food group Hero (CHF 1.18bn, Lenzburg, founded 1886) acquired London-based The Gut Stuff, restructuring its 2035 strategy around gut health. Greek producers have shown the pattern before — FAGE built the global Greek yogurt category from Athens; APIVITA took Greek botanicals and bee products to global scale before Puig acquired it in 2018; KORRES turned an Athens homeopathic pharmacy into an international natural-beauty brand. When heritage food capital moves this way, the category has crossed a threshold. KEANAISSANCE is where Greek producers meet that capital directly. Co-hosted with Elie Haddad, co-managing partner of ALEPH ECO² (USD 1.2 billion AUM regulated platform). We expect one hundred delegates from the US, UK, Swiss and Greek investment communities, with coverage from Kathimerini, Forbes and the Financial Times.

Selected by the Panel of Judges from among the exhibitors at the KEANAISSANCE Food Fair. The winner is announced at Villa Carpe Diem on the closing evening of Thursday 17 September and carries forward into the KEANAISSANCE marketing brochure, KEA Rising featured placement, and continued introductions across the KEANAISSANCE 2026 delegate network.
